History

1999

Founded as PART – Plastics And Rubber Technology

Dr. Wolfgang Korte, Dr. Marcus Stojek, and Dr. Markus Stommel founded the company, initially focusing on plastics and elastomer technology.

2002

Converse's First Release

Internal scripts designed to account for manufacturing factors have been developed into the first commercial software product.

2008

Change of name to PART Engineering

The new name reflects the fact that the company's scope of activities has long since expanded beyond plastics and elastomers.

2011

Release of S-Life FKM

Software-based strength analysis of metal components is being developed as a standalone product.

2012

Altair Partner Alliance

PART has become a solution provider in the Altair Partner Alliance and distributes Converse and S-Life globally.

2016

Press Release from S-Life Plastics

The portfolio is being expanded to include a structured strength assessment for plastic components.

2018

Release of MatScape

The material expertise is consolidated into a software package and integrated as a standalone material modeling tool.

2024
