PART Engineering wins Kautex Innovation Award 2018

| Press Release

The automotive supplier Kautex Textron, based in Bonn, honors PART Engineering with the Innovation Award for 2018. This is in recognition of the successful cooperation with the simulation specialist PART as a supplier for structural simulations in the field of plastic tank development. The two companies have already been working together here for more than 15 years. In the field of numerical simulation of tank systems, PART's services include strength and deformation analysis. Both static and cyclic loads, taking into account temperature and fuel swelling, can be investigated. The service provider's many years of experience in the simulation of fuel tanks is well-known in the industry. A special competence of the simulation service provider is the consideration of the complex material behavior of plastics in the simulation. This makes it possible to evaluate concepts in the early stages of development and make fact-based go/no-go decisions. "Simulation is increasingly being recognized by our customers as a strategic development tool. This opens up innovation potential in the sense that simulation is being used as a toolbox for targeted product development. Against the background of the major upheavals in the automotive industry, companies with a high level of simulation competence have a strategic advantage," says PART Managing Director Dr. Marcus Stojek.
